People in todays world do not appreciate greatness. There are many people that criticize professional athletes but there is not another athlete more criticized than Mr. Lebron James. Lebron James is one of the most hated athletes of all time due to his questionable actions back in 2010 when he declared on live national television that he was leaving his hometown city to go and join Dwayne Wade and the Miami Heat. Lebron James is the greatest basketball player of all time because he was the most dominant player in every year he has played since he was 18 years old in highschool playing at St. Vincent-St. Marys Catholic highschool in Akron, Ohio, and is the best athlete to ever play a sport due to his physical stature of being six foot eight, two-hundred and fifty pounds with a vertical leap of fourty inches and running a four point six seconds in the 40 yard dash. …show more content…
Michael Jordan was a fantastic player who put up extraordinary numbers consinstantly and won six titles with the Chicago Bulls. Jordan had a crazy career averaging 30.2 points(NBA.com). However Jordan played in the eightys and ninetys where the level of play was not near as it is today in Lebrons time. In todays game the athletes have more resources than Jordan had back in the 80’s. The level of play has increased a huge amount since Jordan played. Jordan was never under the scrutinity lebron gets on a daily basis. If Jordan played lebron one on one then lebron would overpower michael and score everytime. If MJ played in todays NBA he wouldnt be able to do the things he did back in the eighties due to the fact of more quicker, powerful, and smarter athletes. MJ is a fantastic and iconic player but still not on lebrons level of play.
