Each year about 1.2% of all women aged 15-44 have an abortion. Abortions should be legal because foster care may not be the best for children, the woman may have been raped, and the woman might resort to having an illegal abortion. Abortion should be a choice for mothers. It should be legal.
Abortions have been done for several centuries and in different cultures. In 1803 Great Britain passed anti-abortion laws because of crude methods, few antiseptics and more. Many say it is because of the christians religious beliefs. In the 1890's women Illegally aborted by inserting knitting needles or coat hangers into the vagina and uterus causing the woman to bleed to death. In the1960's women wanted more rights. After 3 years had passed the supreme court legalized abortions due to the Roe vs Wade decision which stated that " Right of privacy...founded the 14th Amendment's concept of personal liberty...is broad enough to encompass a woman's decision

A teen or woman might have been dosed up with a illegal or legal substance and the result is a pregnancy. Also a woman may have been completely forced down and could not escape getting violated by the suspect. If that teen or woman has to be with the child and look at him/her everyday she might become very emotionally distraught which isn't healthy. If we do not allow abortions to be legal it makes lots of teens and women "have to break the law".
However, this will essentially hurt woman. Illegal abortions could kill if the woman doesn’t know what to do. Women will go back to sticking coat hangers up their vaginas. This causes them to bleed to death. This does not help anyone. It only makes things worse. We have woman that could also die from having their baby because of their health issues. What is worse a unborn child not being born or millions of women dying instead. These people were sacrificing themselves so their child wouldn’t be living a bad
