Doctors should be allowed to pull the plug on those who are suffering from a pain that is invincible by our today scientific knowledge likewise terminally ill patients. It is an individual right to choose whether to live or to die. We have to come to the understanding that, the wish ends one life is a symptom of depression. Legalizing assisted suicide will greatly relieve family members from the burden of caring for their relative in a horrific health state. My view and understanding of this topic are simple. We human cherish to preserve and protect life, but we also need to recognize the right for all human to choose the end of their life. Opposer, particularly physician believe that it is their duty to save lives and preserve it, but not to take part ending one life regardless of health condition. Some oppose of physician-assisted suicide based their judgement over the notion of, what if the patient can be cured if given more time. In fact, according to the peoplesvoice, ”when someone is hurt or considering death as an option that means they aren't thinking straight so why would you take their word on choosing their life. That thought can be easily changed once the person finds a different outlook on life, but then it'll be too late.” (4). The words of peoplesvoice are absurd because clearly peoplesvoice failed to realize that, assisted suicide are not options for patients whose health condition can be cured with today's medical technology, rather for those that are notified to die in less than 6 months or so, and also those whose condition has no cure, and are burdened to family, relatives and so forth. In addition, it is a false claimed that those who requested for assisted suicide are not thinking straight, however, it does not take a genius to know that patients that came out of terminal illness would most likely to be pleased with himself or herself for not requesting for assisted
