A monster is someone or something that we think is different. Terrorises others for the doing of evil. Something beyond human like form that separates us from them. Monsters such as the legend of the chupacabra in latin america.
The story of this legend has been told in many ways of being altered in different languages in countries of the caribbean and south america. Seen in many forms such as lizard like structure or a hairless dog. The chupacabra has many names, but commonly known as the “goat sucker”. The creature's name was given from attacking farm animals such as goats, draining their blood and removing their bones at night.
The chupacabra has been referenced in many books, for example, tracking the chupacabra by Benjamin Radford in 2011. Also many tv shows give an interpretation of what a chupacabra looks like.In futurama having the creature being a giant blue lizard, and in scooby doo they have the image of the creature as a giant hairy beast looking almost like bigfoot.

Later following a massive attack of 150 animals reported in puerto rico. Today people mistake stray hairless dogs for the chupacabra at night.
In conclusion, the monster isn't much of a threat to humans at least. Monsters are not all bad, but misunderstood in different views of what others think. The question of what are monsters is only how we as humans
