Sailors are zealots when it comes to their folktales, especially when it concerns their precious sea who constantly threads along their fortune. One story that has a nasty habit of emerging in conversation is The Gluttonous Pirate which tells of a man who would be so infatuated with his wealth that he chose it over life. The folklore of the Gluttonous Pirate is attributed to the superstition that right sleeves carry bad omens while out at sea; a superstition believing anyone who wears one tempts the threshold of meeting the Gluttonous Pirate in person.

Be wary, be wary of the tale that I sell - of a pirate who knew not of the gluttony that made him unwell. He swashed and he buckled, but the smuggle of a coin is all took to make him unresolvable. With a sleeve right of gleam he sought to hatch a scheme; to plunder the wonders of Regalia. With a clash and a thrash the pirate was brash, storming the adoring treasures of the Regalian ledgers. The pirate retreated, fleeting with pockets of coins and a chest of theft. Though, a storm of a Regalian swarm followed due west. At their heels was the squeal of vessel, who glared and leaped aboard the pirates temple.

So they clashed again, brothers fighting for wonders they would never wield. The scurvy crew looked on with gloom as their numbers were consumed. With a heavy heart the pirate’s sirens rang, saying all to run or all to hang. All ran with a skip and a jib, all but one who stood with his grin. The pirate heaved and he hoed, urging his earnings over the crying rising of his craft. Regalia became hush, as a pirate casted the last of his wealth and caused a cluck in the salt chuck. Though, his gleaming sleeve forced his early leave when it weaved itself into the chest of wealth. The pirate of gluttony was to greet his destiny, for the treasure of the Regalian ledge was his unresolvable
