Legislative Process The legislative process starts with an idea that a Senator or Assembly Member choose to author a bill. There are various committees that must review the proposed bill. The steps of research to the pros and cons of the idea must be done before it can be presented to the president's desk for final approval or veto. During these steps legislators listen to their constituents to hear what they want. It is injected into a human to stimulated or artificially increase disease immunity to the strain being injected. The theory or proven fact to that is that if the human comes into contact with that disease strain their body has developed an immunity from the vaccination. A plan of attack if you will to prevent the disease from running its course. Immunity is said to be long term, not life time. Part of the chemical structure of a vaccine is where research and parents concerns have gained focus. A common preserve in the chemical structure of vaccinations is thimerosal. Thimerosal is a derivative of mercury. Groups that lobby to prevent vaccinations believe that mercury causes neurological impairment. In the amount of shots administered into children before the age of two parents believe it is too many over a short period of time. Since 2001 no mercury has been used to create vaccinations suitable for children.("CDC," 2007) There are still Flu vaccines that contain thimerosal. Although there are Flu vaccines without this preservative available, if you know to ask for it.
Common side effects that all vaccinations had in common were low grade temperatures and pain at injection site.
