One of the many projects assigned to us during this marking period included the anatomical project inspired by one of Renaissance’s most popular and famous artists, Leonardo Da Vinci. For my anatomy, I chose to draw an ordinary tube of toothpaste and used various techniques throughout my artwork. Some of the many elements and principles I depicted in my anatomical project includes depth, value, emphasis, form, as well as movement. Also, I portrayed various techniques such as using a cotton swab to blend in gradients throughout my artwork as well as adding depth to the edges of the sketch to construct a 3 dimensional object. Also, I added a shade to the objects for a 3-dimensional appearance. Through the progression of my project, I incorporated Leonardo Da Vinci's methods to enhance my artwork. One of the many challenges I faced throughout my project is sketching the toothpaste tube in proportion as well as to the viewer's perspective. Also, I could have improved on emphasising the toothpaste tubes label. Some successful methods or techniques that I believe that I mastered would be incorporating value and properly adhering the black and white color scheme to tie the whole piece of art together. As a result of this anatomical project, I strongly believe that the tube of toothpaste could reference and connect to a bigger idea such as arising to a new beginning. The toothpaste could symbolize the start of a brand new day as it is a brand new tube of paste. It could hint a new experience, for instance, or an event. It references a fresh start to a day, a new, experience, a new journey, waiting to be explored and embodies a fresh, clear start to something
