The First Parachute was invented by Leonardo da Vinci. He had many skills such as metalworking, leather arts, carpentry, drawing, painting and sculpting. Born to Caterina and Piero da Vinci on April 15th, 1452 in Lucca, Italy, which was near the family estate. His parents ever married, which at that time, made him Illegitimate. When Leonardo da Vinci was 14 he began his apprenticeship to become an artist. Who did he accompany you ask? Andrea del Verrocchio, which was a noted artist at the time. He died at the age of 67 on May 2, 1519, and he was buried in Chapel of Saint-Hubert. A parachute is a device used to slow the motion of an object, so they don’t die by the force of the impact. There are two basic types of parachutes; one
