An American woman who was our U.S. first lady and the wife of our sixth president, John Adams. However, this remarkable woman was not just any ordinary wife. She was Johns correspondence and set a new standard for woman everywhere in our new nation. I honestly didn’t know a lot about Abagail Adams before reading this book, and when I was handed this book and told to read it I thought to myself, “ugh not another boring biography.” However, I was so wrong. Her story is remarkable, and how she proved a woman can be way more than just some lady who cleans, cooks and cares for children
