When the media and general public talk about torts, they think of aggressive and bad customers suing big companies for their own mistakes and little problems to gain easy and big money. I also thought it that way. When I heard “A woman sued McDonald’s for spilling hot coffee on herself”, I thought “Well, I should sue Starbucks for serving that hot Americano!”. But turns out, Liebeck v. McDonald’s case was much more than that.
I agree with the general contention in the Hot Coffee movie. I definitely believe that the civil justice system in this country is under attack. While I would like to believe that our justice system is clean and give fair chance to receive justice for citizens, I believe that many big companies from different categories
