The 1800's were a changing point for the people of the US. It was the start of the industrial revolution. Children, as young as 6 years old worked either running errands or making deliveries for a store keeper. The 1800’s was when machines were in use. There were many different jobs. The machines helped people get jobs done faster and cheaper. Farming was the chief way of life in almost every country. The family raised cattle, chickens, and hogs and grew corn, fruits, garden vegetables, hay, and wheat.
