Do you think life was better in the 1960s than today? In the 1960s there was interesting fashion, the Civil Rights, The Vietnam War conflict, and there was less technology. Life was better in the 1960 because kids could walk by their self, there was less non-violence, and cool fashion trends. To begin with kids could walk by their self. In paragraph 4 “kids could walk to school alone without getting kidnapped”(Winn). This means that into days world there should be less victims in investigations. An example from the text is “could unite and voice their opinion in a non-violent way together, full of peace, love, and happiness”(Winn). This shows that back in the 1960’s people had strong relationships with each other and they they caered about each other.
Then there was less violence. An example from the text is “Time was better than today in thought back then included peace, love and happiness and non-violence”(Winn). This shows most …show more content…
The author states “Fashion had it’s own tastes then too, with men’s longer hair, beards, and mustaches, to women’s ‘big’ hair-do’s and African Americans afro look”(Winn). This illustrates that students and teachers could bring back the 60’s fashion when schools do the fun activities that schools can dress as the 60’s. An example from the text “ At least fashions then encouraged teens to dress well, while sagging jeans and ‘hoodie’ styles would be shunned in ‘60s society”(Winn). This means that kids these days need to try to have fun with what they wear like the 60’s did when they dressed. You could argue that in today's world there are better technology then because if someone was kidnapped we have most of the information to find to find the kids. Even know today's world has cellphones, computers and other stuff but in the 1960’s we sent our people on the moon without having all of the technologies that we use now because they was trying to reach out further to find
