Imagine a group of boys on a stranded tropical island, trying to survive, and willing to emotionally trample one another to achieve power and achieve the upper hand.William Golding, the author of Lord of the Flies, brings this idea to life in this novela.Golding’s novel conveys messages about the inner-evil that is living within every human being, just striving to release and lash out.. Ralph and Piggy find each other as soon as the plane wrecks.They soon grow quite fond of one another in a more, ‘tough love’ sense. They then find a white, crisp conch that they use to call the other boys back for an assembly. Ralph is elected chief, but unfortunately for him, a stubborn, an older boy is striving for the power that was given to Ralph. This creates a verbal power trip between the antagonist and protagonist. The ID means selfish, rude that relates to Jack. Throughout the novela jack is rude and unthoughtful towards the rest of the boys. Another major part of the mind is the ego this area represents the “I” of a person. Ralph is the personification of this idea because he remains stuck between the good of the superego and the temptation of the Id. Ralph can be seen to be similar to the ego or I throughout the story, he is caught in the middle of Jack's savagery and piggy’s reason. The sincerely cares about being rescued and maintaining order, but he also is interested in pleasure of hunting. The focuses move on being accepted by the group and being a good leader. The characters relate to either superego, ego, and the Id i think the novela is saying if you have to much power or not enough from the right person the government can become
