During the year of 1945 President Truman needed to propose a strategy to force Japan to surrender. Experts created two nuclear atomic bombs named Little Boy and Fat Man. These atomic bombs could derive destructive power from the release of rapid nuclear energy, that could cause harm through heat, blast and radioactivity. This is just what Truman had needed. He believed it was the easiest way to end this war.

Little Boy was the first bomb to drop, which landed on the modern city called Hiroshima. It landed on August the 6th at approximately 8:16am by the American bomber, Paul Warfield Tibbets. The 4,400kg bomb was dropped on the city centre which was a crowded business area, causing more than 200,000 citizens killed. The young bomber, Paul who had all the great power was born on the 23rd of February, 1915 and died on November 1, 2007. He is greatest known for the pilot who flew the Enola Gay when the Little Boy was dropped. Although, all worked out well for the Americans, there was no full test occurred for Little boy to be successful. …show more content…
Fat Man was originally planned for the town Kokura, but because of bad weather, conditions it further convinced Nagasaki at last minute. The second bomb was dropped three days later than Little Boy and occurred on August 9th at approximately 11:02am. This bomb was designed as a much heavier weapon as it weighed 4,670 kilograms. The result of this disaster caused deaths lesser than Hiroshima, but was still very immoral by killing more than 40,000
