Citizenship

Well being in the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) citizenship means a lot to me. Being a citizen means doing the right thing when you need to do it, or maybe even just do the little things that matter. Like take out the garbage or do you’re chores. Trust me the little things in every working town matter a lot more than you would think. One important thing that you can do is just simply wake up in the morning and go to school graduate and go on to college or get a job. Well I was at K-State Merit Badge Day and I had one of the Junction City council members talk to me about being a citizen of your town. He said stuff like being a part of your town and being a citizen means a lot more than doing your chores or helping out your neighbor’s, it’s getting to know you’re town and getting involved with its projects. He showed us the water line layout of junction and he had a quadrant map showing all the different sections of JC. What I do to be a citizen is I help out my neighbor’s whenever they may need the help. For instance I used to have this neighbor name Mrs. Nelson and when her kids moved out I took the place as her son so she wouldn’t get lonely and I helped her whenever the chance came by. Also on every earth day I go around my town and I pick up trash to make our town look really good. And every spring the town goes around and we plant flowers in vases around town which I think looks really good. One major thing that I am helping
