She ran a 12.43 second 100 meter hurdles. She donated thousands of dollars to flood victims and people who don’t have tons of money. She went to the olympics twice in the same event, Lolo Jones! She went to the olympics, bound to get first place and stumbled on the last hurdle. Jones didn’t let this stop her though, she pushed through everything in her path stopping her from being successful. Why was Lolo so inspiring? Because she never gave up and pushed through any obstacle in her way. She never kept tons of money for herself she always found a better way to use it.
Lolo was one of five children raised by a single mom and grew up poor and moved a lot. She grew up in Des Moines, Iowa and she was discovered by many colleges. When she got to high school she started taking track more seriously and pursued her love for track and lived with 4 different families, Jones wanted to be the first in her family to go to college. She received a scholarship to Louisiana State University track and field program (Cingari).

She might have retired from competitive track and field but her no one will ever forget her generosity towards others, one of the titles she won were Gatorade Midwest Athlete of the year. she has impacted every single girl in the country, setting goals for them, inspiring them to bet her personal and olympic record and push through barriers in your way and to strive for the olympics or whatever your goal is at an early
