My long-term career goals are to earn a Masters degree in Public Administration and become the Governor of Arizona, improving my community in the state level. Exemplifying my degree in Public Administration, I plan to use my platform as governor to address issues surrounding the importance of education and civic participation. Dealing with civic health, Arizona ranks at the bottom of nearly every metric. As a passionate Arizonan resident, I am very disappointed with the current rankings of Arizona. Arizona is 47th in the nation when it comes to voting in local elections, and ranked 41st in volunteering. One of the ways I am currently changing these statistics is by participating in Inspire Arizona. Inspire Arizona is a nonpartisan non-profit that focuses on registering newly eligible voters, specifically high school juniors, and seniors. Fortunately, I have been, and continue to be, blessed with many supporters and mentors throughout my life. The guidance from everyone has led me to become the first person in my family to attend college. My biggest supporters are none other than my parents. They firmly established my beliefs and values, and the principle of giving more to others than what I wasgiven. My goals are not about hierarchy or high status in the world of politics, but rather to provide opportunities to others, especially other minorities from similar backgrounds. Through my career, I hope to aspire others by demonstrating how an education and hard work can lead them to have a successful life. Just as my favorite actor, Will Smith, stated, “I want to represent an idea. I want to represent possibilities. I want to represent you really can make what you want”. Life has a special meaning once it becomes a life of
