The Long- term effects of Abortion
Abortion is very common in the United States. In the case Roe versus Wade in 1973 - Abortion is a medical procedure used to terminate pregnancy by eliciting death to the fetus. Consequently, abortion is a controversial issue among many individuals. In fact, abortion is more dangerous than childbirth. Therefore, abortion spark concerns, so it's important to be knowledgeable of the procedure/ risks. In addition, my goal in this paper is to identify some long-term effects of abortion.
2011, nearly 53 million legal abortions were performed in the U.S. - an average of about 1.4 million abortions per year. (84) At 2008 abortion rates, three in ten U.S. women will have an abortion before the age of forty-five. [13] However, according to U.S. abortion statistics on average, a woman usually has about three to four reasons for having an abortion. The first reason for having an abortion is the child interfering with work or school habits. The second reason for having an abortion is the individual is financially unstable. Consequently, the type of method performed, depends on how far along a woman is in her pregnancy. This is calculated by counting the number of weeks from the first day of your last menstrual cycle.
