The book is called Lord of the Flies and was written by William Golding. The key message for Lord of the Flies is that we need to have law, order, rules, and hope. Without law, order, rules, and hope there would be chaos. The main characters are Ralph (protagonist), Jack (antagonist), and Simon (Christ). The were on a plane trying to escape the war, and boom. The plane crashes and the boys are left to fend for themselves on a deserted Island. They find a conch which will eventually care all the power and bring the boys to order. They have Jack who is obsessed with killing pigs and Ralph who is trying to get the boys back home with hope. We need to contain law, order, rules, and hope because we are human. Without law and rules we won't know who to follow, and without order we won't know what to follow. We must contain hope for everything because if we give up we may never be saved. Without order, rules, law, and hope it would be complete chaos. We would start by doing whatever we wanted to do. Than turn to acting like animals, and eventually turn to full out savages. We would start killing each other for fun and laughing about it. If we go back say to the holocaust we will see how Hitler and other Nazi´s were killing Jews just because Hitler said they were different. We as humans have a part in us that says Satan is good and to follow him. All we need is a flag or some face paint to hide behind and our conscious. Than what is good and bad will vanish. The author is telling us that fear is never good when we can have some hope because people can do mean things when we have fear. We should try to live our lives by avoiding temptations and fear and follow the rules and have
