First, what didn’t go well was the opening of the interview, because it appears that Lotta came on heavy with an accusatory statement. The statement, “We set up this meeting with you today to find out what’s going on” (Dave gets defensive) gives Dave the impression that they blame him for the delay in laboratory TAT and what to know what he is doing that makes the TAT delayed. Then knowing that a council has been set up to review the process he feels that he is being set up to take the fall for all the problems. Lotta should have used a different approach, “Be curious and not judgmental” in her questions.
What did go right was Tom’s approach to asking Dave about the drawing urgent specimens. Letting Tom know that they think it’s the process,
