Having fallen short of her ideal expectations, Lottie from France scored 78 on the TOEFL iBT with R-17, L-18, S-21, and W-22. Having familiarized herself with the exam structure, Lottie sought the help of Michael’s renowned Online TOEFL Course: “The 7 Step System to Pass the TOEFL iBT.” Lottie told Michael that she would be able to study 5 hours each day, after which would like to take the test after one month and a half. Because of this, Lottie was recommended to review Michael’s reading and listening sections.
With Michaels reading section, Lottie engaged in critical thinking which better prepared her not only for the reading section, but also for the integrated speaking and writing sections of the TOEFL iBT. For example, by engaging in an extensive reading campaign such as reading news articles and taking notes of the main points of the passage, Lottie was allowed to interpret the reading task and to express his opinion. Furthermore, Lottie was recommended to review reading exercises and tests. This helped Lottie to improve her reading proficiency and speed. By working out listening lessons offered, Lottie learned to catch the main idea and important details of campus-related and academic listening passages. Because of this, Lottie learned tips and tricks, such as: inferencing, idioms, negative expressions, and getting the main idea, and understanding transitions. In addition, by learning how to take notes and practicing how to take notes as she completed over 40 effective listening practice tests, Lottie learned to be effective in writing and giving oral summaries about the different lectures at hand.
