The animals that they eat are migrating to a place that is full of herbs’. A flock of buffalos takes off to find food that is full of enrichments. The fish are moving to a warmer lake so they could lay their eggs and mate. The birds and the jackrabbits sets out to find a new home so they could find better shelter and food. Army are taking over lands and making the Native Americans to head out. Because the army is expanding, it requires more territory and placing the Native Americans into cottages or restricted boundaries. It also forces the Native Americans to go to boarding school. In the poem of Indian Boarding School: The Roadways by: Louise Erdrich says, “ In this poem, she writes from the point of view of the Native American children struggles in the environment of the government school.” She explains that the Native American children struggles adapting to the government school but it also forces them to take away their Native American spirit like changing their clothes into rags, forcing them into train boxes and more.
