In the play, Cyrano de Bergerac, you might question yourself on what is love. For the very lovely and witty Roxane has several men who proclaim their love to her, and yet something is missing in a few of them. It is the one who hides himself that she truly loves, though she does not know that. An equally witty, though not at all lovely, Cyrano de Bergerac is found to be in love with Roxane. Cyrano de Bergerac circles around these two individuals, Roxane and Cyrano, watching them as they interact and change and grow. So afraid is he of losing any chance with her, Christian determines not to speak to her.
