Research Question: What explains the consistently low voter turnout in U.S. presidential elections, then the uptick in the 2008 presidential election, followed by a decline in all of the presidential elections since 2008?
Introduction: This topic is interesting to various audiences because it’s important and ultimately effects who will be chosen as the next leader of the United States. It also affects future legislation, policies, and laws. My research question is doable because the issue of low voter turnout has been analyzed and explored by various scholars with various theories explaining the low turnout in presidential elections.
