What is loyalty? Loyalty is translated in various styles depending on what it is you are being loyal to, what you are being loyal to, and why you are being loyal to it. Loyalty is referred to most commonly as faithfulness or devotion to some person, cause or nation devotedly. Loyalty is everywhere in our society. On a smaller spectrum, it is in our friendships, relationships, workplaces, recreational areas, schools, and on a larger spectrum it is represented in our province, nation, and is found when multiple nations are working together. Contending loyalties is represented in the knowledge of the Canadian government trying to assimilate the Aboriginal culture, and the group environmental group Greenpeace is the strain of ideological loyalty
