It was late autumn, the brown leaves swirling around like ghosts of summer outside of Luella’s large window. The flurry of colors reflected back from her entirely black eyes, lost in thought. Seasons alone were what broke the monotony of her day-to-day life. Not that she was bothered, however, she rather liked not having to worry about her safety in the outside world. Too much strife and pain, as some old spirits had told her some time back.
