There was around 7,000 Jews saved from Danish fishing boats. During the Holocaust some people tried saving the most Jews they could save. One of the ways to help them save Jews were on Danish fishing boats.
Well one nice person decided one day that they would try to save as many of the Jews they could save. This one lady went by the name Lund. She went through many of risky things to save Jews. Well before she started to save Jews she had to come up with a long thought out plan. Her plan was to take the Jews as far away as she could on Danish fishing boats. She had to find people that had fishing boats that the Jews could hide on. Than when she thought this out she had to come up with a plan to transport the Jews out of their camps to the ocean where the boats would be waiting. She had to figure out how many people could fit on each boat and even if the fishing boat owners would take the risk of transporting the Jews.

There was only 25 0r 30 people that could travel on the boat at a time. The trips was sometimes a couple of days to a week. Lund had to pay the captain for transporting them and she had to pay the captain to feed the Jewish people while they were on the boat. She came up with this money from where she lived. She went around taking donations from all kinds of people. She went around telling people about what she was gonna do to save the Jews and some people donated thousands of dollars and others donated whatever extra money they
