Cancer, the word that everyone dreads to hear, has taken the lives of many innocent people, My beautiful, loving, sweet, nana just happened to be one of these people who lost the battle with cancer. I was about eight years old at the time when all this chaos was going on with her. The late milkshake makings, movies, and just about everything was slowly coming to an end. She was diagnosed with lung cancer and the metastasis went straight to her bones. There are many preventions, treatments, and inheritances for lung cancer. There are a lot of lifestyle changes that can be made to prevent lung cancer. Eating healthy and exercising regularly is one way to prevent lung cancer. Before eating fruits and vegetables, they need to be washed off, so pesticides will not brought into the body. Exercising prevents having an unhealthy weight, and it keeps the heart healthy. Avoiding tobacco and smoking cigarettes is also a great factor in preventing lung cancer. Tobacco is a toxic mixed with 7,000 chemicals and 70% are known to cause lung cancer. According to Centers for Diseases Control and Prevention, 80% to 90% of patients who smoke cigarettes get lung cancer. Inhalation of the toxins in the cigarettes is what can ruin the lungs.
