Love is a very ambiguous topic. There are many subcategories of love, and each one is very different, but they all have similarities. Familial love is where a person would like to spend time with a family member. There is no romance between the two family members. In romantic love, two people want to be with each other for their whole lives, and would like to help each other, and understand each other. Lust is a whole different topic. Lust is the hormonal desire to have sex, and is therefore a completely different subject. Love often is used in literature. Love stories are stories about a romantic relationship. In love stories, characters develop love for each other, characters break up, then get together again, and sometimes they get married. But never in a love story are character just teenagers, driven by lust.

First of all, Romeo loves Mercutio. In Act III, scene i, after Tybalt slays Mercutio on a cheap shot, Romeo says, ‘Fire-eyed fury be my conduct now!’ (Line 115). Romeo kills Tybalt out of fury for Mercutio’s death. Mercutio was always there for Romeo when he needed help, like a best friend would always do. He said that fury would guide his actions, because he was too enraged at Tybalt. If Romeo did not love Mercutio, then he would have been mad, but he would not have taken the fury-driven path that he did take. Next, there is love for Juliet by the nurse. The nurse has raised Juliet since she has been a newborn baby, and is a better mother for her than Lady Capulet. The nurse teases Juliet when she is about to get the news of whether Romeo wanted to marry her or not. She changes the subject numerous times while about to tell her, and doesn't. This harmless teasing is a sign of love, because it shows their dedication for one another, and their care for
