Epidemiology defined: The basic science of public health in which the causing factor, population, frequency, and relevant intervention is found in the case of an outbreak.
Epidemiology:
Education: Master’s degree is required
Training: no on the job training is required, but is recommended to observe

Out of 53 people who consumed this, only ten were not documented as sick. Most likely the ingredients of the potato salad such as the eggs, potatoes, mayonnaise, and whatever else was used would be examined in order to determine what in the potato salad was the cause of the outbreak.
An epidemic curve would be able to tell where you are in the course of the epidemic, and possibly to project its future course. Second, if you have identified the disease and know its usual incubation period, you may be able to estimate a probable time period of exposure and can then develop a questionnaire focusing on that time period.

-Malaria: Malaria is a parasitic disease that involves high fevers, shaking chills, flu-like symptoms, and anemia. It’s caused by a parasite that is passed from one human to another by the bite of infected mosquitoes. After infection, the parasites travel through the bloodstream to the liver, where they mature and release another form of themselves. The parasites then enter the bloodstream and infect red blood cells. This disease will usually occur in third world countries such as Africa. People there have developed a partial immunity to it. I want to prevent this disease from spreading by interrupting the transmission in which it spread. This can be done by wearing mosquito repellent and nets/ long clothing to better cover the body.
