Macbeth's Influence On His Actions

Have you ever been influenced to do something? Hopefully you weren’t influenced to kill someone because that’s against the law. In the Tragedy of Macbeth, Macbeth and his wife go through series of events after they kill the king so that Macbeth can be king and they can be rich. Through these series of events that involve secrets and murder Macbeth and his wife go crazy. In the Tragedy of Macbeth, I believe that Lady Macbeth holds the most power of influence on his actions because if she didn’t have him kill the king and have him lie to his friends he wouldn’t have murdered people.

In the Tragedy of Macbeth, Lady Macbeth influenced her husband to kill King Duncan so that Macbeth would become king and they could be rich. In The Tragedy of Macbeth by Shakespeare in Act one scene 5 lines 58-60 Lady Macbeth states,” Shall sun that morrow see! Your face, my thane, is as a book where men May read strange matters. In act II scene 3 lines 100-105 Macbeth states,’’ O, yet I do repent me of my fury, That I did kill them… Who can be wise, amazed, temp’rate, and furious, Loyal, and neutral, in a moment? No man’’ (Shakespeare 100-105). This shows that if Lady Macbeth wouldn’t have influenced Macbeth to kill King Duncan then he wouldn’t have killed the servants. Also in Act III scene 1 lines 48-49 Macbeth states, ‘’ Our fears in Banquo stick deep, and in his royalty of nature’’… The second murderer states,’’ We shall, my lord, perform what you command us’’ (Shakespeare 126-127). This shows that Macbeths actions have gone even farther to make it so he will stay king and this has all happened because Lady Macbeth influenced her husband to kill King
