Healthcare is made up of many different parts not just the doctors that you see when you’re sick. People may assume that, but with all that comes many different dynamics that make up the healthcare industry. Machines are a huge part in what doctors do day to day in their offices. With technology transforming every day, it is much easier for doctors so see things in the body so they can keep up and maintain your body in good condition. Listed below are a couple machines that they use. First off, and my favorite is sonography machines. These machines are used by ultrasound technicians also called sonographers. This is my favorite because I’m actually planning on becoming and Ultrasound technician. Ultrasound technicians can also specialize in other fields like gynecologic sonography, abdominal sonography, echocardiography, and neurosonography. When getting a job as a technician, opportunities are usually arising in hospitals, diagnostic centers, and physicians’ offices. More and more Ultrasound technician jobs are becoming popular because of the improvements in diagnostic medical equipment and the use of sound waves and 4D imaging. Another machine used a lot is the MRI machine which stands for Magnetic resonance imaging. This is a medical imaging technique used in radiology to visualize detailed internal structures. The contrast it provides between the different soft tissues of the body makes it especially useful in the brain, muscles, and heart. It detects cancer based diseases in some machines but mostly based for the brain then compared with other medical imaging techniques such as computed tomography (CT) or X-rays. When getting an MRI they will sometimes inject a dye coloring to an IV in your arm so that the colors that the doctors see are more apparent on the screen and easier to detect. A machine most commonly heard of is the x-ray machine. This is also called the x-ray generator or a radiograph. Doctors use this machine to diagnose broken bones or joint dislocation, look for injury, infection, arthritis, abnormal bone growths, bony changes seen in metabolic conditions and assist in the detection of
