《Mad Max: Fury Road》and Feminism What’s the feminism in action movie? Giving a tight super heroine, let her on the screen with the sexiest way to save the world? Or, as “traditional”, a sexy girl merely show her super hot body and have kiss and sex with main actor? Or, seemingly immutable model as support roles go to deal with an insignificant bad man but the main actor fight with a big guy? No! This is not feminism because there is no anything raise up idealism for equal between female and male. Feminism is about right , power, free mind and independence acting and so on. ‘Mad Max: Fury Road’ 2015, this film, surprisingly, has a strong feminist streak.
Anti male “gaze" As a feminist movie, the first thing considerate is broken the rule of female exit in movie as object for male gaze.…show more content… Moreover, She drives a shaved-head tanker with steely character, rescuing women and fighting with Antagonists who actually in the movie are literally the patriarchy, the female’s image is completely different with other sexy girl. Like Tom Hardy, who is the actor as Max in ‘Mad Max: Fury Road’ 2015 said, “The lead of this movie is a female amputee. It’s a total empowerment of women”. (1)
