A person knowing and being told that they are worthless and incapable of doing things, will make that person proof them wrong. It is not always true in what they are being told, most of the time they are right and become successful. Antigone is a character written by Sophocles, who proves the king Creon that what she did is right and she is willing to get the consequences. As for Madam C.J. Walker also known as Sarah Breedlove, was the first African-American self-made millionaire. She wanted to give her daughter and her a better life so she became inspired by her African hair products. Living in a segregated town there were not many advantages to African-Americans, but she believed that they could become something in life. Her hair products are still in business and she is remembered for being an inspired woman activist. Antigone and Madam C.J. Walker was born on December 23 of 1867 and died on May 25 of 1919. Her parents were Owen and Minerva Breedlove, and her siblings were Louvenia, her sister, and her four brothers Owen Jr., Alexander, James, and Solomon. She had very little education in her childhood due to the segregation in Louisiana. Her parents had died and left her at a very young age, 7 years old, which left her to work to support her family. In Antigone her sister, Ismene, believes that women are not supposed to fight with men. But Antigone believes something totally different, she does not agree with what her sister says. She does not care that Creon thinks of women as weak. She knows that burying her brothers was the best thing to do, so they could be laid to rest peacefully. Even though Creon had warned her not to, she still did it. She loves her brothers dearly and is already sadden by their death. Antigone wants to show Creon that she is not scared or him nor does she care what he does to her, that is showing her bravery towards
