Today Maggie was not in, therefore I assist Emily, who is also an outpatient occupational therapist. Emily work ethics is very similar to Maggie's in relation to their kind approach to patients, and listening ears. Both therapist expresses many similarities, which was something I enjoyed observing. One patient who is African American was injured in a car accident. Today was the Patient's evaluation, which followed by some series of questions. When it came to the question pertaining to medication, the patient response was very alarming. This patient literally consumed a medication/vitamin for everything her body needed or needed for treatment. Emily wrote down over 30 medications the patient was consuming. Even though Emily was quite surprised
