“The Enormous Radio” was very fascinating its basically short story about a wife and husband who own a radio. Cheever’s short story Enormous Radio, explores the effects of desertion, addiction and denial, and how these factors correspond with one another weakening the relationship. The short story is built on signs of why their relationship is weakening and how their usual manner of dealing with it, is only prolonging the inevitable. Because there relationship was so damage, they relied on a radio for entertainment and also used it as a way to cope with their issues. In my life I think the meaning of "The Enormous Radio" which is seen as a form of magical realism was used to showcase how we use social media today. John Cheever's story also
