Major depression- deals with interfering with your daily activities not being able to sleep, eat, or even wanting to work.

Persistent depression disorder- This type of depression is mood that has to lasts for at least two years. Someone that is diagnosed with this depression may have episodes of not being able to work, sleep, study, eat or even being able to enjoy life in general. You cant have this type of depression unless sever symptoms last for 2 years.

perinatal depression- also known as postpartum depression. This happens after women give birth it deals with the hormonal and also the physical changes of having to take full responsibility of a new child.
