Thesis Statement: Vaccinations should not be mandatory for all children in the U.S. because it is the right of an informed parent to decide for their children and many vaccinations are associated with side effects or diseases.

I. Introduction:
A. In my eyes, power comes with responsibility. In America, we are blessed to have all the freedoms guaranteed in the Constitution, including freedom of speech. If we have an issue with something, we have the power to speak up. That power grants the responsibility that all Americans should stand up for what they believe. According to heathaffairs.org, in 1790, the world’s first vaccine came out and it was for smallpox. Since then, vaccinations have been the choice of the parents and have not been mandatory. This, because vaccinations, although safe most of the time, are associated with side effects. In many cases, vaccinations end up doing more harm than help, actually.
