Each year, millions of people lose their lives due to vaccine-preventable diseases. Vaccines are a biological substance used to provide immunity against one or more diseases. Still, many citizens do not receive these immunity shots because of religious beliefs, safety concerns, or lack of availability. Today, all fifty states require vaccinations before a child can enroll in school; however, each state has a list of exemptions. Unfortunately, those who believe mandatory vaccinations violate human right often abuse the exemption list.
