“Analytical Speech” The speech I chose is by a man named Marc Mero who is a retired wrestler and motivational speaker that mostly speaks to middle school students. In this speech, he is persuading the students to cherish the importance in life before it is too late. His message was so inspirational that most people that watch it would be left in tears. The general purpose of his speech was to persuade the audience and the specific purpose of his speech was to persuade the listeners about the importance of life. Marc Mero’s speech is very organized, his speech made everyone emotional and his delivery was astonishing. In his speech, that he did for the middle school students was organized in a very particular way. His speech was organized in chronological order from when he was younger until the day his mother died. In the introduction, he tried to relate his speech to his audience and would give examples to the listeners for them to understand it better. Marc opened the speech with a story about his mother going to a football game and embarrassed him by calling his name which caught all the audience attention. When he came home his mom wanted to talk to him, but he did not want to talk to her and wanted to be left alone.
