Marching Band Perseverance

In the fall and spring seasons, my band would spend hours polishing our field show and parade performances. Discipline and teamwork are practiced during long rehearsals. Our teamwork is unlike the teamwork of sports teams, where the goal is to defeat opponents in games. The teamwork in marching band is about independent and group self-improvement. We mess up and keep going. We come back stronger after making mistakes. Perseverance is our goal, and we strive for excellence, not perfection.
