Music can take on many forms from powerful, to expressive to reflective all dependent on the combinations of musical elements that are incorporated into the melody. Different genres of music evoke distinctive feelings to the listener for example, a rock and roll song may evoke the emotion of joy and power while an a capella choir melody may suggest emotions of spirituality and solemnity. Similarly, culturally distinctive songs may not always be understood by a foreign audience, however, by actively listening to the tone, rhythm, pitch and tonality of the song the listener can understand the emotions the melody is evoking. One great example of a foreign musical genre is the musical group Marichi Flor de Toloache. Mariachi Flor de Toloache is composed of a group of solely women.
