Marilyn Kasella grew up on a family farm of 14 kids in Royalton Minnesota. Marilyn was proud to be the second oldest of her family. Sylvester grew up on a farm in Bowlus Minnesota, he lived on the other side of the Mississippi River. Sylvester was the youngest of six siblings and not quite Marilyn's boyfriend at the time. Sylvester was still young and did not know what he wanted in life, let alone did he know of Marilyn at the time. Marilyn and Sylvester first met at a dance located in the Little Falls Ballroom. The Falls Ballroom is still located in the exact same spot as it was in 1967.

Then Marilyn started talking about Sylvester and how he was so perfect in every way; his walk, his talk, and of course his looks!
