1st MCFE Meeting with the Boston Bruins Foundation
Best way to contact Erin: Call her office, or e-mail -Erin has two interns that can also be used for communication purposes
Areas of need:
-Game Night Fundraising (IN GAME)
Tactics already in use: -50/50 raffles (hosted by a charity TBA) -Players or alumni are used in some of the fundraising -Golf tournament in September didn’t bring in goal -Casino night January (cancelled) Full team event with the poetical of bringing (100-120k) -Slice the Ice (hour skate, meet and greet with players) Going to happen -Possible Scheduling conflicts with Disney On Ice and Celtic games.
Basic Goal: NEED TO BRING IN MONEY (250k) …oh boy -Difficult to bring in current players for fundraising -Our leech length is up to us (within reason) -Only three full time people are working within this department (including Erin)
Info on Game Night Fundraising tactics: -Raffled off parts of locker room, signatures, name plaques -3 for 5 raffle tickets, wing span is the best selling tickets Prize wheel*** -5$ bracelets
NEED TO MAKE BBF TABLE AN ASSET:
-Need to bring in $5000 a night, not $500 -You are taking up sponsorship spots if you don’t raise enough money -Next to guest relations, and community center, a lot of people looking to find something else. -Hard to see

Strengths: -Strong Alumni Network (fans love it, a lot of past players are local)

-Substitution for Casino night may work with alumni, not with current players -Away game parties are a good way to raise money, lots of red tape if done internally within the BBF. -signed hockey stick -Ice Girls/Pictures -Hummer with Ice Girls -Blades (dance contest) Kid related -Tables bring in more than people walking around
