Marlin is the father of Nemo who are clown fish that live in the great barrier reef. Marlin has lost his wife in a terrible accident and sworn himself that he will protect Nemo no matter what the cost, so he will not lose another important loved one. One day Nemo is suddenly captured by humans and taken to live in a fish tank at a dentist office. Marlin is distraught and determined to find Nemo and bring his son back home. So he goes on a mission with a help of Dorri, who is a kind-hearted optimistic fish. Through his friendship with Dorri, he learned to let go of his paranoia and embrace the positivity in life. This theory is the way we learn to interpret the world. The principles of the theory lead to conclusions about how we perceive ourselves and how we fit into society as a whole. There’s a certain aspect of the theory it’s called “thinking” which is the process of taking the role of the other. We have inner conversations with ourselves in order to sort out meanings and also through these though processes we are able to take a role of the other and see their perspectives. Another aspect is “the self” which is the reflection in a looking glass. It shows meaning in yourself and how you are able to look inside and see who you really are.
In one scene, Marlin came to a phase where he has given up hope on finding Nemo. So he separates himself from Dorri and just gives up. He talks to himself and reflects to what had happened over the course of the journey that lead him to that point.
