As per your request, I have reviewed Martha Markum’s case to determine if she developed multiple pressure ulcers which led to a left knee amputation as a result of substandard care during her admission to Hilltop of Riverside (HR) from 1/11/02-06/15/02.

Opinions Regarding Deviations of Standards of Care
After a review of the available medical records, Dr. Jackson and Hilltop of Riverside failed to respond to Ms. Markum’s deteriorating condition in a timely manner. Dr. Jackson’s progress notes make me question whether there was an actual head to toe assessment performed because the wording of his progress notes very seldom changed.
