In life there will always be struggles, but how you go about them is what shapes you as a person. Overcoming you hardships can be difficult, but when you are faced with obstacles you are given paths. Hardships can influence a person because of the choices you make while overcoming them.

Martin Luther King Jr was faced with many obstacles through his years of defending the rights of colored people. He overcame these obstacles and is known as one of the most influential people in American history. Even when he was faced with a nation of discrimination and racism he still stood for what he believed in. King could've backed down or not stood up for what he believed in but he risked his life for his people and made this country a better place
