On January 15, 1929 a baby boy was born. He would grow to be a legend, but that day he was a new born like any other born in the midst of the Great Depression. Martin Luther Jr. was raised around religion and a town with minimal crime. He had a loving mother and father and as a child he thought of the world as a good caring place. He had a play mate who was white, and the boy’s father told the boy he couldn’t play with Martin any more. Martin didn’t understand why he couldn’t play with him and it confused him. He didn’t know why he anyone would treat him like that just, because of his skin color.
