Martin Luther King Jr. made a very powerful speech about the struggles of injustice that blacks face every day in every aspect of life and the hopes he has for the colored people and white people to overcome them. The speech was a demonstration for freedom and used a lot of emotive language to connect with the audience and even mentions the bible. He believed in a solution without violence but to unite and come together working as one (Humans). King often advocated his beliefs by educating others and reaching out, he made sure to show his resistance in nonviolent ways. There is repetition of figurative language referring to freedom as cash and checks. It is time for the people of America to realize where they have gone wrong and make change for the better, not only for the colored people but for the whites as well. He uses positive words to get attention and speaks of why it is important to take action. It is time to unite and work together as human beings. He says there is no rest or tranquility until freedom is served. The rebellious behavior will continue to get worse until action is taken and justice is served. He wants peace, to work together and unite, but doing so in a nonviolent way. He points out that not all white people are to blame and says how even whites came and showed their support. They will not be satisfied until they get there justice and uses a metaphor about justice and water in a stream. He speaks of hope and encouragement to go home and fight for change. We can unite and work together and prove and show that it is possible and that all men are created equal.
