One of the most difficult tragedies of life is losing a loved one. In the novel Crow Lake by Mary Lawson the Morrison’s go through the tragedy of losing their parents in a car accident. This tragedy is told through Kate’s point of view, who is the second youngest of the Morrison children. Kate and her siblings avoid facing the tragedy of their loss and use work and education to escape. Kate recovers from the loss of her parents through going off to college and achieving her dreams and as well as that she has a lot of support from her family and friends.
